HIPAA/Privacy Statement

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Privacy Rules, the Security Rules and the Breach Notification Rules promulgated thereunder, and the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act (HITECH) provide standards for protecting the privacy and security of health information of individuals receiving health care services and regulate how health care agencies use, disclose and transmit certain individually identifiable health information, called protected health information (PHI).

They also require that Accredited Aides-Plus (i) ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all electronic PHI it or its business associates create, receive, maintain or transmit, (ii) protect against any reasonably anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of electronically maintained PHI, and (iii) protect against any reasonably anticipated uses or disclosures of information that are not permitted or required by HIPAA.

As such, Accredited takes the safety and security of the client’s personal information very seriously safeguarding that information against any disclosures, breaches, and leaks. We adhere to all Federal, State and local regulations with policies and procedures crafted to ensure the protection of your PHI.
